The presented tutorial guide includes the main sections and principles of first aid, taking into account modern Russian and international recommendations. The algorithms presented are based on the latest recommendations of the specialist commission on first aid of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and in accordance with the latest requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Medical and Pharmaceutical Specialties.
The tutorial guide presents all the main topics of the module “First Aid” of the compulsory discipline “Life Safety”, special attention is paid to the features of basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid for children, in various types of emergencies and natural disasters, including the features of first aid in epidemics and armed conflicts, various emergencies in medical and educational organizations. All topics are accompanied by key questions, tests for self-assessment tests and situational tasks of practicing first aid skills.
The tutorial guide has been developed in accordance with the peculiarities and learning needs of international students and is intended for students of medical universities studying in English as the medium of instruction, as well as for foreign students studying as part of Russian-speaking groups. It can also be used as additional literature by students of universities, medical schools and medical colleges studying English.
