The textbook “Preclinical course of dentistry. Part II. Cariesology and direct restoration” is intended for dental students at institutions of higher education, as well as for residents and dentists. The textbook provides information on the basics of cariesology, including etiology, pathogenesis, classification, and methods of diagnosing caries, as well as techniques for cavity preparation of carious teeth. It also describes the main properties of materials for direct restoration of teeth and manual techniques and practical recommendations for restoring various carious cavities.
The textbook corresponds to the curriculum of the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education (FGOS VO) — Specialist Degree in the field 31.05.03 “Dentistry” supports the development of professional competencies, knowledge, and skills as defined by specialist training programs.
